Five people have been confirmed dead due to cholera outbreak in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, sparking urgent efforts to curb its spread.
The Metro Health Directorate has reported 161 suspected cases, of which 28 have been confirmed.
Speaking at a press conference, Metro Health Director Dr.
Pious Mensah disclosed that the fatalities include individuals aged between 9 and 40 years, emphasizing the severity of the outbreak. "We have recorded five deaths due to cholera, with 161 suspected cases in November alone.
