NADeF inaugurates GH¢4.1m projects at Kenyasi police training school

Newmont Ahafo Development Foundation (NADeF) has inaugurated four projects constructed at the cost of GH¢4.1 million for the Ahafo Regional Police Training School at Kenyasi. The projects initiated in 2022 and completed this year, comprises of a two-storey classroom block with ancillary facilities, two storey Administration block changing and washroom facility and a dais for parade grounds for the Ahafo Regional Police Training School. At the handing over ceremony at the Kenyasi Police Training School yesterday, the Board Chairman of NADef, Professor Yaw Ofosu Kusi, said the projects formed part of the social corporate responsibility of the foundation towards its 10 host Ahafo communities. The training school, he said was initiated by the Omanhene of Kenyasi number One, Nana Osei Kofi Abiri, with the strong support of the Kenyasi community but NADeF provided the funding for the training school's establishment in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service. Since its inception in 2022, NADeF constructed a two storey 200 bed dormitory block at the cost of GH¢1.4 million for the take-off of the police training school.
