An initiative to provide extra tuition for all form three students in public Junior High Schools in the Krowor Municipality of the Greater Ac­cra Region has been launched. Sponsored by the Member of Parliament for the Krowor Constituency, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the initiative is to prepare the students towards next year's Basic Education Cer­tificate Examination (BECE). The beneficiary students numbering about 1,400 over the next four weeks would receive tuition in the four examinable core subject which include, Social Studies, Mathematics, English and Science. Launching the initiative at Nungua in Accra on Wednes­day, Dr Lartey said her resolve to promote quality education in her constituency remained unshaken. She said quality education remained the surest way of bridging the development gap and as the MP for the area, she would do everything possible within her means to support the children especially as they prepared towards their final examination next year.
