The Electoral Commission (EC) has firmly dismissed claims that the upcoming December 7 general elections can be rigged.
According to the Commission, the robust systems and structures in place make it impossible for any individual to manipulate the polls.
Speaking on JoyNews' Newsfile on Saturday, the EC's Deputy Chairperson, Dr Bossman Asare, stated that elections are won at the polling stations.
He explained that ballot counting is conducted transparently at each polling station immediately after voting, in the presence of the public. "When we had the peace pact, she (EC Chairperson] made it very clear - we've always known that elections are won at the polling stations, and that has not changed," he said.
