President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has stated that on the matter of fighting corruption effectively, he is more likely to trust John Mahama's words than President Akufo-Addo. President Akufo-Addo's regime has been widely criticized for failing to fight the canker despite the promise to do so while in opposition. The NDC's John Mahama, who's seeking a return to the presidency has promised to deal with the canker head-on should he be given the nod. Speaking at a town hall meeting at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra on Monday, August 12, Mr Mahama pledged to hold public office holders accountable if elected. He has stated that, unlike the Akufo-Addo administration, he will not merely focus on tackling the corruption fight against political opponents but also tackle it from within.
