Some armed policemen and civilians on Wednesday morning, November 27, 2024 stormed the premises of metro TV around Alisa Hotel, North Ridge in Accra to disrupt a live production.

Host of the station's morning show, Randy Abbey, who announced the incident on air indicated that the armed persons stormed the premises to injure some of the security personnel when they attempted stopping them from entering the studios.

It is unclear the reason behind the attack by the armed men. "We do not know what it is for, but they were trying to forcibly enter the studio," said Randy Abbey.

Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwasi Pratt and Dr Richard Asante Yeboah, Executive Secretary, Public Servants Housing Loan Scheme were guests on the Good Morning Ghana show when the incident occurred.
