The National Media Commission (NMC) yesterday inaugurated a 10-member board for the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) at a brief ceremony in Accra. The board which retained eight previous members with two new ones include Samuel Kojo Intsiaba as chairman, with other members including Tanoh Debrah, Francis Dadzie, Peter Djakwah, Ama Serwah N-T, Thomas Broni, Adjei Afriyie Nketia, Raymond Kumah Acquah and Managing Director, Prof. Amin Alhassan. The chair of the NMC, Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafo, speaking in a remark charged the board and the workers to adopt all professional standards in order not to be tagged of belonging or favouring a particular political party. According to him, GBC should not allow itself to be implicated in issues of bias in political reportage during this year's election in order to continue to be the government's mouth piece for the people.
