President Akufo-Addo has urged former President and flagbearer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress John Mahama to accept the outcome of the December 7 elections.
President Akufo-Addo emphasized that Mahama's claims suggesting that a victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December polls would be the result of a rigged election, are baseless.
The President said this when he addressed the clergy and traditional rulers in Koforidua on November 28. "In 2012, I went to court over the elections I believe I had won.
When I went to court, the Supreme Court ruled 5:4, it was almost equal.
