The Minister for Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has emphasised that the newly inaugurated Phase II of the Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange will significantly reduce traffic congestion and improve road safety.

At the inauguration of the project, the Minister highlighted that the completion of the interchange would help ease traffic flow, thus reducing the frequency of accidents on the busy road.

He also noted the potential health benefits, including a reduction in the contraction of respiratory diseases, which are often exacerbated by traffic pollution.

Asenso-Boakye commended the project's role in enhancing the overall transportation infrastructure in Accra and its contribution to improving the city's urban mobility. "The benefits of the Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange Phase II extend far beyond improved traffic.
