The European Union (EU) has presented specialised security equipment to the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) as part of its efforts to enhance the country's border security protection programme.
They included 10 motorbikes, three laptops and two desktop computers.
The EU Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Irchad Razaaly, who made the presentation, reaffirmed the EU's commitment to strengthen its partnership with Ghana, particularly in combating international organised crime and enhancing border security.
He stated that the donation was part of the Strengthening Border Security in Ghana project (SBS Ghana) to enhance border security through capacity building, training, and the provision of specialised security equipment.
