The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, yesterday inaugurated the newly redeveloped Jackson Park in Koforidua, a modern facility aimed at reducing congestion and boosting economic activities in the New Juaben South Municipality.
The project, which cost over GH¢8million, was funded by the World Bank through the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP).
The construction of the park which began in 2021 and was completed in four phases featured a 15,000-square-meter space, volleyball and basketball courts, public and VIP stands, lockable stores, and an event and recreational centre.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Akufo-Addo expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and the park's transformation. "This facility gives a significant facelift to the municipality.
