The President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, has called on the (NDC) to sanction its parliamentary candidate in Asante Akyem North Agogo, Kofi Asamoah.
According to him, the decision of the NDC PC to attack Salt FM with his men after a journalist made an allegation against him is uncalled for and should be condemned.
He indicated that he is highly disappointed in the NDC party executives for not speaking on the matter publicly and condemning the act since the incident occurred.
Speaking at a media coalition held on November 28, 2024, and monitored by GhanaWeb, Kwabena Dwumfour charged the NDC, led by its flagbearer , to sanction Kofi Asamoah for his violent actions to deter others from doing the same in the future. "We, therefore, condemn Chief Kofi Asamoah and his supporters for their unruly behaviour.
