The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr.
George Akuffo Dampare, has assured Ghanaians of a peaceful and violence-free electoral process in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to presidential candidates, parliamentary aspirants, and other key stakeholders, IGP Dampare emphasized the police service's readiness to ensure a secure environment and called on citizens to support this effort with prayers and responsible conduct. "The electoral ballot features 12 presidential candidates, but only one will emerge victorious.
The others will have another opportunity in the future," he remarked. "Similarly, while 801 parliamentary candidates are contesting, only 276 will win.
