The Mortuary Workers Association has threatened to resume its strike action to demand better conditions of service tomorrow, November 28.

The Association said it has come to this decision because their employers have not attended to their needs. "We are writing to inform you that, due to lack of practical will to reach a complete resolution of issues affecting Mortuary Workers in Ghana, we intend to resume our STRIKE ACTION, which has been in abeyance since Thursday 26th September, 2024," a part of a letter sighted by 3news dated November 25 reads.

The letter addressed to the Minister of Health and other stakeholders, signed by the General Secretary, Richard Kofi Jordan, explained that "Despite our efforts to reach a mutually acceptable end, the issues that led to the initial strike action remain unresolved.

We have been left with no choice but to take this decision to protect the interest of our members." According to the mortuary workers, "The STRIKE ACTION will resume on Thursday 28th November, 2024, unless we receive a satisfactory response from your side regarding our outstanding demands.
