Mahamudu Bawumia has ushered Ghana's public transportation into a new era following the introduction of electric buses in the country.Dr.
Bawumia has launched the first batch of electric buses and piloted in Accra on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.The buses are electrically powered and doesn't use fuel.With the complete absence of cost of fuel and other related maintenance cost, cost of public transportation will come down considerably between 40% to 50%.Speaking during the launch, Dr.
Bawumia said this marks a new era in the public transport sector, and also demonstrates the "possibility mindset"."Today, we are making history with the commissioning of these electric buses.
