A security guard at the University of Ghana, Legon, has raised concerns about a recent gesture from the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Hon.

Lydia Seyram Alhassan, just weeks ahead of the upcoming elections.

The guard revealed that he received a 5kg bag of rice and a bottle of cooking oil from the MP but questioned the timing and intent behind the gift.

Reflecting on his experience, he noted that over the past eight years, he had received nothing from the MP apart from similar items during election periods. "These items cannot buy my vote," he firmly stated, expressing dissatisfaction with what he perceived as an attempt to sway voters instead of addressing their long-term needs.
