Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin has declined a request by the NPP caucus in Parliament for a recall.

The NPP caucus, in a memo to the Speaker, requested a recall of Parliament on November 28 and 29 to discuss urgent government business.

But the speaker, in a statement, indicated that the meeting was impossible.

He indicated that sitting can only be possible after elections to complete all essential matters before a seamless transition to the 9th Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana "I write in response to your memo on the above subject which was received at the Office of the Speaker on Friday 22nd November 2024 at a time I was out of office to honor an invitation outside Accra.
