Workers at the Pambros Salt Factory near Weija Junction in the Greater Accra Region have launched a protest against what they describe as an attempt by certain traditional authorities to allocate parts of the salt mining area to Chinese business interests. Dressed in red and black, the workers voiced their strong opposition to the move, expressing fears that such a decision could lead to widespread job losses. Reports suggest that over 1,000 workers could potentially lose their jobs if the land transfer proceeds. Several concerned workers spoke out about the potential impact on their livelihoods, urging immediate intervention to prevent the takeover. One worker stated, "We've noticed that the Chinese have started encroaching on our land.
