John Abdulai Jinapor, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament(MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu, did not hold back in his assessment of Ghana's current economic situation during his appearance on Election Field on Oyerepa FM.
He boldly compared the country's economic state to a person lying in a mortuary-still with hope but in critical condition.
Despite the gravity of this comparison, Jinapor expressed confidence that with the right leadership, Ghana could make a swift recovery. "Ghana hasn't reached a point of no return," he assured viewers, speaking with a sense of determination. "With the right decisions and a focused government, we can recover quickly.
We've been through tough times before, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is ready to bring back prosperity when given the chance." Jinapor's analogy of Ghana's situation being akin to a person in the mortuary was a striking one, meant to underscore the dire state of the nation's economy, particularly in light of challenges such as the power crisis and the country's rising debt.
