Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to take all necessary measures to ensure a peaceful electoral process on December 7, 2024.
The Asantehene made this appeal when the President paid a courtesy visit to the Manhyia Palace to express his gratitude to him and the indigenes for their unwavering support during his tenure.
In a separate engagement with the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs, President Akufo-Addo cautioned that voting for former President John Mahama in the upcoming elections could lead to the neglect of the Ashanti Region and the abandonment of key developmental projects.
As part of his three-day tour of the Ashanti Region, President Akufo-Addo visited the Manhyia Palace, where the Asantehene urged him to uphold a peaceful electoral process for the December 7 elections. "He has promised to ensure a peaceful election and I believe he will do exactly that.
