Security analyst, Adam Bonaa, has outlined ways the Ghana Police Service can restore public trust ahead of the elections.

Speaking exclusively to about how security should be handled during and after the elections, Bonaa stated that the leadership of the police must deploy qualified personnel to the appropriate locations for the December 7 elections.

According to him, personnel with no political affiliation should be deployed to restore the public's trust and confidence, cautioning against assigning individuals who have openly declared their political allegiances.

He referenced the leaked plot to oust IGP Dampare as an example of the risks posed by such affiliations. "The police who are supposed to be in charge of electoral taskforce must make sure the right persons are deployed to the right locations.
