The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has expressed disappointment over the state of development in Sekondi-Takoradi under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.

He assured residents that his next government would make significant investments in the region and complete all unfulfilled projects, including those initiated by President Akufo-Addo, such as the unveiling of a statue of himself.

Mahama emphasized that both his government and previous NDC administrations had made substantial investments in Sekondi-Takoradi.

However, he blamed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for hindering further progress, accusing the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government of underperformance and spreading false promises. "The NDC government constructed phases one and two of the Bosomtwi Fishing Harbour in Sekondi, we expanded the Aboadze Thermal plant's capacity, and we developed the Kojokrom to Takoradi Railway line.
