The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that customers using Nuri prepayment meters no longer need to purchase power for a full month.
This follows the successful completion of the Token Identifier (TID) rollover process, which is part of an upgrade to ensure the meters' continued functionality.
According to a report by graphic.com.gh, ECG's General Manager of External Communications, Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, disclosed this in a recent interview with the Daily Graphic.
He explained that the upgrade process was necessary to align the Nuri meters with the Standard Transfer Specification (STS) protocol, ensuring effective operation and uninterrupted vending services.
