A Deputy Commissioner at the Electoral Commission (EC) in charge of corporate services, Dr Bossman Asare has described the Commission as one of the best in terms of the quality of organising elections.

Dr Bossman Asare allayed fears that the election results will be tampered with by the officials of the commission who are perceived to be politically exposed.

He argues that given the structures at the commission and how the electoral system works, no one can interfere with the process. "Ghana's EC is one of the best in terms of quality of elections… Even if you are a flagbearer, and you are appointed chair there is nothing you can do," he said in an interview on TV3 on Monday, November 25.

He explained that "all the electoral processes, we go through them with the parties, the parties are expected, by law to bring their agents at the polling centres.
