The 2nd edition of the NCCE Oti Regional Debate Competition for Senior High Schools has ended with Likpe Senior High School winning the competition. The competition, held at Dambai, brought together eight schools in a battle of wits, promoting the values of peaceful dispute resolution and democratic values. In his opening remarks, the Oti Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education emphasized the importance of settling disputes through superior arguments rather than resorting to violence. He also cautioned the youth against allowing themselves to be exploited by politicians to engage in electoral violence during this year's general elections. The competition saw intense debates from all participating schools, with Krachi Senior High, Bueman Senior High, and Nkwanta Senior High securing second, third, and fourth places, respectively.
