The Ministry of National Security has initiated investigations into an alleged kidnapping involving Sylvia Baah, the manager of Emirates Airlines at Kotoka International Airport.

This follows a recent report by the Herald newspaper, which claimed that Sylvia Baah was abducted by officers from the Ministry and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).

In a press release dated Monday, November 25, 2024, the Ministry categorically denied any involvement from its officers or the NIB in the reported abduction. "The Ministry wishes to categorically state that no officer from the Ministry or the National Intelligence Bureau was involved in the alleged abduction of Sylvia Baah," it noted.

The Ministry further assured the public that investigations were underway into the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident. "The Ministry has initiated investigations into the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction," it stated.
