President Akufo-Addo has commissioned an Oil and Gas services terminal at the Takoradi Port while reiterating his government's commitment to ensuring both the Tema and Takoradi Ports remain competitive gateways for international trade and regional integration.
The project aims to establish a world-class shore-based logistics platform within the port, featuring offshore supply vessel (OSV) birthing facilities and serviced waterfront land to support offshore oil and gas exploration and production operations.
At the ceremony to commission the new terminal, President Akufo-Addo stated "this bold step showcases Ghana's progress in becoming a leading hub for oil and gas services".
Already, the Takoradi port has the Atlantic Container and Multipurpose Terminal and a new dry bulk terminal.
