Jordan Ayew etched his name in Premier League history by becoming the first Ghanaian to score 40 goals in the competition.

The 32-year-old reached this milestone with a composed penalty in the 95th minute during Leicester City's 2-1 loss to Chelsea at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

His achievement puts him atop the list of Ghanaian Premier League scorers, ahead of legends like Tony Yeboah (24 goals) and Michael Essien (17 goals).

The match itself was a difficult outing for Leicester, who struggled to contain a dominant Chelsea side.
