Sports Journalist Saddick Adams has attributed the ongoing struggles of Ghana's national football team, the Black Stars, to mismanagement and administrative failure rather than a lack of talent.
This comes after the Black Stars abysmal performance in the AFCON qualifiers.
In an interview on JoyNews' Newsfile on Saturday, Adams emphasised that the team's challenges stem from systemic issues within the football administration. "I am one of the people who think that coaching at the Black Stars, coaching and playing body has got nothing to do with the challenges we have because the fact is, or the facts are very bare. "You have the players play week in and week out in the topmost leagues in the world and they come here to play and you want to sit back and say are these really the players who were playing in the English Premier League last week, is this the guy who scored in the Spanish La Liga last week?" He argued that the problem lies not in the players' talent but in the institutional framework that fails to function as it should.
Adams also criticised the coach, Otto Addo, for suggesting that Ghana lacks talent. "I heard the coach Otto Addo subscribing to the fact that Ghana doesn't have talent.
