A Ghanaian visa applicant Jonathan Cobbina has appealed to the Embassy of the United States in Accra to take steps to address the lack of visa appointment dates for Non Immigrant Visa applicants.
According to him, the uncertainty and lack of dates for visa applicants is causing "anxiety and stress" urging the embassy to address the issue. Currently, checks show visa applicants have no date in Accra to schedule an appointment after making the necessary payments with wait times in Accra beyond 500 days. "Many individuals, including students, business professionals, and families, are experiencing increased anxiety and stress due to the uncertainty of when appointments will be reinstated" he wrote. He added: "We respectfully ask for consideration and intervention in addressing this issue.
A clear communication about the current status or estimated timeframe for resuming appointments would go a long way in alleviating the growing concerns.
Furthermore, if there are specific reasons for this pause in appointments, sharing this with the public could foster a sense of understanding and patience.
