A gang of armed men on Friday, November 22, 2024, escaped from armed police officers despite being cornered in a Forex Bureau they had entered to rob.
In viral videos noted by GhanaWeb, armed police officers are seen encircling the Rahama Forex Bureau located at Abeka Lapaz in Accra.
However, according to multiple reports, some bystanders outside the facility managed to lock the entrance, entrapping the robbers and employees inside upon realising that the Forex Bureau was under attack.
According to eyewitnesses, the gang of two had taken the staff of the Forex Bureau hostage amidst demand for money at gunpoint.
