A Business Management teacher at the Tarkwa Senior High School, Francis Archer, last Friday emerged the overall best at the Third Duker Teachers and Health Workers' awards held at Cyanide, in the Tarkwa -Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region.
He received a plaque and a new brand saloon car valued at $14,000, in addition to GH¢ 5,000 donated by Professor Douglas Boateng, Chairman of the Mineral Income Investment Fund (MIIF) Board.
The awards under the theme "Championing learning and wellness in our communities," which honoured 36 recipients, began in 2022 to celebrate teachers and health workers.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Mr George Mireku Duker, explained that, the programme was to honour teachers and health workers.
