The Ghana Police Service has interdicted an officer for assaulting a civilian.
A statement issued on November 22, 2024, said the police officer, Corporal Baba Amando Ibrahim, was seen in a viral video assaulting a member of the public and has since been interdicted.
His intervention is to allow the service to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
The statement further revealed that the Inspector General of Police has reached out to the victim of the assault and assured him and his family of their support.
