Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has described John Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, as a representative of the past for Ghana.

His remarks came as he drew a clear comparison between former President Mahama's administration and the current NPP government, highlighting what he views as significant progress achieved under NPP leadership.

Addressing a crowd of supporters in the Northern Region on November 21, Dr Bawumia stressed the distinctions between the two administrations, spotlighting the accomplishments of the NPP.

He specifically mentioned the chalk shortages that were common in schools during Mahama's presidency, contrasting this with the NPP government's distribution of laptops to students.
