The Inspector General of the , Dr.
George Akuffo Dampare, has asked political parties to duly prepare for either of the likely possible outcomes going into an election.
Speaking at a meeting with representatives of the various political parties on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in Accra, the IGP told the parties to prepare to deal with defeat as much as they intend to celebrate their victory. "As you plan to celebrate your possible victory, plan to also celebrate your defeat or endure it, knowing that only one will win," he said.
He emphasized the need for all parties to commit to the rules guiding the elections, noting that Ghana will be the eventual winner if the rules are allowed to work.
