The Aedes aegypti mosquito, the primary vector of dengue, zika, chikungunya, and yellow fever in rural and urban areas, is largely determined by the local climate. To better coordinate vector control efforts, a thorough evaluation of the times when variations in climate conditions impact the number of human cases is necessary. The (GHS) reported a dengue outbreak in a few areas in the Eastern Region. Investigations were sparked by unusual cases of clinical malaria that did not improve with antimalarial medication. Following laboratory validation, dengue was determined to cause these cases.
