The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) has accused Deputy Minister of Information, Sylvester Tetteh, of unlawfully demolishing its staff bungalows at Weija.
GBC claims the demolition proceeded despite their objections, prompting the involvement of the police to intervene and halt the exercise.
In an interview with Channel One News, GBC's Director of Legal Services, John Kwame Waja, explained that Tetteh had initially approached GBC management to request assistance in securing a portion of land for the construction of a community school.
Waja said GBC's Director-General, Professor Amin Alhassan, instructed the estate team to inspect available land, which they did.
