The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured farming communities of his commitment to make their business profitable and easier to do.
Dr Bawumia said he would establish District Agric Mechanization Centres, and also institute scholarships at the tertiary level for wards of cocoa farmers.
He said this in a Facebook post on Tuesday, after interacting with residents of Ahafo Ano South West, Ahafo Ano North and Ahafo Ano South East constituencies. "Together with my multi-pronged approach to addressing Ghana's challenges, I assured the largely agrarian communities of my determination to help make their toil easier and more profitable through the District Agric Mechanization Centres, the institution of scholarships at the tertiary level for wards of cocoa farmers, and a more inclusive and technologically efficient licencing and regulatory regime for small scale mining. "A massive turnout on December 7 and an overwhelming endorsement of my vision for Ghana will ensure that together, we build a country ready to take on the world.
It is Possible!" he wrote.
