President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said that the idea of building the new headquarters of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), The Bank Square was a result of the need to modernise Ghana's buildings to meet the demands of a fast-changing world.

He said the new building is a testament to the central bank's maturity and enduring relevance.

Speaking during the commissioning of the facility in Accra on Wednesday, November 20, he said "This is a testament to the bank's vision of maturity and enduring relevance.

It reflects Ghana's commitment to modernise her institutions to meet the demands of the fast-changing world." Also speaking at the same event, the Minister of Finance Dr Mohammed Amin Adam said that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had steered the economy to become stronger.
