The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has urged political parties to prioritize their policies when engaging with the electorate, rather than resorting to hate speech.
He emphasized the need for a peaceful environment during the upcoming December 7 elections, cautioning all political parties against actions that could incite violence.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II made these remarks during a visit by the Presidential Candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, who led his party's leadership to seek the Asantehene's support and prayers ahead of the elections. "It appears my children are the ones contesting in the elections and yes Kofi is one of them.
So I will pray that everything goes well for him as well.
