The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover has taken stern action against vendors who are operating unlawfully near Accra's recently inaugurated Flower Pot Interchange.
In a viral video social media, Titus Glover is seen destroying tables and chairs that were erected close to the interchange by hawkers who had disregarded earlier orders to leave the area.
The minister's action is consistent with efforts to preserve the structural integrity and visual appeal of the newly commissioned interchange, which is expected to improve connectivity and traffic flow along the Accra-Tema Motorway.
This enforcement comes after Glover issued a strong warning during the interchange's commissioning that no unauthorized kiosks, or containers should be mounted near the interchange. 🙂🙂 pic.twitter.com/LzYMDPO5F1 - KALYJAY (@gyaigyimii) November 20, 2024 However, vendors returned shortly after the event, resuming operations despite the directive.
