Ghana's national women's football team, the Black Queens, will discover their group opponents for the 13th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament, at the forthcoming draw, which is scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024, at Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Sale, Morocco.

The Black Queens will feature in the continent's most prestigious women's competition, the Women's AFCON, for the first time since 2018, under the guidance of Swiss tactician Nora Hauptle, after missing the 2022 edition, while the 2020 tournament was cancelled.

The Black Queens will face stiff competition from 11 other countries, including host nation Morocco, defending champions South Africa, nine-time champions Nigeria, Algeria, Senegal, and Zambia.

Following their failure to qualify for the 2023 Women's World Cup and 2024 Olympic Games, Nora Hauptle and her team will be seeking redemption at the women's AFCON, aiming to claim their maiden title after finishing as runners-up three times (1998, 2002, and 2006).
