Afari Duodu the Blind Historian, also known as Bulgaria, has stirred controversy with his fiery remarks targeting individuals with disabilities who plan to support the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming elections.
Speaking passionately during an interview on Lawson, Bulgaria accused the NDC of systemic disrespect and marginalization of people with disabilities, cautioning them against endorsing the party. "The NDC has no regard for persons with disabilities," Bulgaria asserted, adding, "If you vote for them, you will live to regret it.
They've shown time and again that they don't value us, so why support such a party?" Bulgaria's criticism was bolstered by examples from the past, including references to Dela Edem and comments made by NDC MP Sam George regarding Ivor Greenstreet, a wheelchair-using former presidential candidate of the Convention People's Party (CPP).
