Ghanaian coach Kwesi Appiah has successfully led Sudan to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), capping a remarkable qualifying campaign under challenging circumstances.

Despite the political instability in Sudan that forced all their matches to be played away from home, Appiah's side secured eight points to book their place in the tournament.

Appiah's Sudan delivered a pivotal performance in October, beating his former team, Ghana, 2-0.

That result proved crucial, putting them in a strong position to qualify.
