Former president of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor has advised Ghanaians to desist from creating any form of violence before, during and after the upcoming elections.
In an interview with a team of Broadcast Journalists on Sunday, November 17, he emphasized how crucial it is to uphold the election's outcome in order to save the nation's democracy.He urged people to maintain harmony in the run-up to the general elections which is three weeks away. "It is essential for everyone to line up calmly to exercise their voting rights on election day.
Electoral violence is unacceptable, and I hope for a peaceful election process," Kufuor said. "We must acknowledge that genuine power resides with the populace, and it is crucial to accept the results, regardless of personal preferences.
I urge all participants to prioritize peace during this election." He advised.
