It's barely three weeks until the general elections, and the La General Hospital project site remains deserted, weeks after 3news reported that work had been halted.
Residents are appealing to the government to fulfill its promise of completing the project before the elections.
On October 28, 3news reported that work at the La General Hospital redevelopment project had halted and that worker had deserted the site over an alleged shortage of funds.
In response, the Ministry of Health clarified that work had not halted, but rather, the contractor is awaiting payment to resume work, in line with standard operational procedures for all government projects.
