The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued an unqualified apology to former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufour, over the recent attacks on his person by the communicator, Dela Edem.

A statement from the communication bureau of the political party acknowledged that the comments were in bad taste.

It therefore urged their communicators to be focused on their message and avoid such attacks in the future. "The NDC adds its voice to the apology that has been rendered and hopes that this retraction and apology brings closure to the matter.

The NDC as a party accords utmost respect to the elderly in our society and honour to our statesmen," the statement said.
