The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has given the Ministry of Education a two-week ultimatum to distribute the laptops procured under the '1-teacher, 1-laptop' initiative to teachers. According to the Union, the delay in distributing the laptop to teachers is creating agitations and anger among members which could mar the peaceful industrial climate. The General Secretary of GNAT, Thomas Musah Tanko said this in an interview 3news' Daniel Opoku in Accra on August 12. So far, more than three thousand of the laptops have been distributed to teachers nationwide. There are more than 60,000 of the laptops which are yet to be distributed since 2018.
