The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that they have burnt electoral materials for the Ahafo and Volta Regions.
Materials burnt include excess and scrap ballot papers and plates used for the printing of the presidential and parliamentary ballots for the Ahafo and Volta Regions.
The destruction, according to the EC, was done in the presence of agents of the various political parties and stakeholders from the various security agencies in the country.
The EC in its statement indicated that today Sunday November 17 2024, they will account for all ballot papers printed for both regions which will be burnt subsequently due to challenges with serial numbers.
