The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has condemned the recent remarks made by Dela Edem, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, against former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
Speaking on TV XYZ, Dela Edem described Kufuor as "evil" and attributed his health challenges to a supposed curse, sparking widespread outrage within the political landscape.
In a statement signed by NPP National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, the party described Edem's comments as "despicable, shameful, and disgraceful." The statement expressed frustration over what the NPP sees as an unwarranted attack on a revered national figure.
Boakye noted that Kufuor's contributions to Ghana, including policies like the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), School Feeding Program, and Free Maternal Care, have left an indelible mark on the country and continue to benefit millions of Ghanaians.
